Pet Paradise has teamed up with FUR to make this holiday season even more tail-wagging by finding homes for four of their current pups in Northeast Florida. To help support an easy transition for these pets and their new families, we’re offering a year-long free wellness plan through NewDay Veterinary Care and a free 21-day Board-and-Train experience at Pet Paradise to guarantee a happy and healthy start for the new year. Kai is a mix-breed pup who loves toys — from bouncy balls to squeaky toys, he’s eager to let his playful side shine! His foster parents describe him as having a heart of gold who’s always ready to be outside with his family. Kai walks great on a leash and is housebroken, and he’s so excited to find his permanent home!
Gavin is a young pitbull mix who is fiercely loyal and loving! While working with trainers, he has made incredible progress in both learning commands and socializing. While Gavin would be perfectly happy being the only four-legged friend in your life, he would match great with other pets and humans who can keep up with his energy and endurance.
Benji is a 1-year-old hound mix who is paw-sitively curious, relaxed, and loving! He’s quite smart and quick to learn. Although he loves a walk in the park or a game of fetch, his calm demeanor makes him the perfect pet for snuggles. While he might be a little shy at first, his sweetness shines through as he gets to know you.
Blue is a 2-year-old American Pitbull Terrier who is looking for his fur-ever family! He’s very social and friendly with both human friends and other pets, and is eager to make new friends. He’s fully potty trained and loves playtime — he’s always ready for a game of fetch or a ride in the car!
Florida Urgent Rescue (FUR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, works to improve the lives of animals in a range of high-risk situations. Whether it’s providing medical care for animals coping with significant injury or cancer, supporting a new mom with a new litter, or a ending a stay in an over-crowded shelter, FUR helps animals who are the most in need.
FUR focuses primarily on rural shelters with limited resources, but also has rescued hundreds of animals surviving hurricanes, natural disasters, and has even rescued animals in Ukraine and Turkey. In addition to foster and adoption services, FUR provides emergency transport, support to overwhelmed shelters, and medical intervention.
Since 2015, FUR has rescued more than 2,500 animals.
