Pet Meal Prep

September 02, 2021 Lili Kendall
homemade dog food
We know many of you prep your lunches and dinners throughout the week, but what about meal prepping for your four-legged friend? It's easier than you think—this recipe is a great way to get familiar with homemade food for your pet. Every dog's nutritional needs are different, so remember to consult with your veterinarian on any foods that work better for your dog or any supplements they should have in their diet.

Ingredients (yields 10 cups)

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups brown rice
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 16-oz package frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrots combination

Directions

  • Add water, rice, ground turkey & rosemary into a large pot or a Dutch oven
  • Stir until ground turkey is distributed evenly
  • Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low & simmer until water is evaporated, about 20-30 minutes
  • Add frozen veggies & cook for five more minutes
  • Remove from heat & cool
  • Refrigerate until use

We hope your four-legged friend enjoys this easy and delicious recipe! If you give it a try, be sure to tag @PetParadiseResort so we can see.
